Dear members of the staff, parents, students, friends and well-wishers of SJCSN,

It is a matter of great joy and honour for me to join you all in thanking God Almighty and St. Jude the patron, on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of St. Jude’s Convent School.

Many wonderful things have happened in the past 50 years of the life of this institution. Numerous persons, cutting across generations and categories have been blessed within the portals of this school.

The blessed ones include primarily students who are on the rolls of this institution at present as well as those that have passed out of its portals in the past years , starting with the first batch of 1976 students who cleared the ICSE exam in 1991. Ever since 3581 students have completed their High School Education from this school so far.

The fact that many of our alumni have become shining lights in different walks of life in all continents of our planet, adds colours to the Jubilee memento. Some of them joined this school itself as teachers. Some others continue to be connected as parents or grandparents of present students.

The family spirit that prevails in our institution is nurtured by the dedicated members of all our staff, the students who consider this school their second home, the parents and extended families of our students etc. There is also a long list of well-wishers, officials of different government departments and benefactors of this institution.

The flaming torch of the first ICSE school in Nakodar area was held aloft and carried forward by a number of persons which include, 17 of priests who served as directors, 16 sisters who served as principals ,48 teachers who retired and 94 now serving, 25 non-teaching staff who are retired and 28 still serving; 14631 students who took admission and pursued studies in this school. We remember and record our gratitude towards each one of them on this occasion.

Some of the stones paved on the path of our journey marks the irreplaceable loss of persons dear to us. We remember them all with love and offer our bouquets of gratitude for the invaluable services they rendered.
The progress in the life of the school has been marked by the setting up of a new campus with modern infrastructure and the recognition and affiliation for the Class XII with the ISC board. That adds enthusiasm and vigour to our journey ahead.

I look forward to listening, learning and working with you in the coming days. As we seek to mark our Golden Jubilee with different programmes, let us join our hands and pray for God’s blessing and St. Jude’s guidance.
